How much light do Haworthia cooperi need?

Haworthia cooperi plants require full sunlight for four to five hours ideally in the morning hours

Bright and indirect sunlight would suit them the best. Further they would be handy as both  indoor plants or outdoor plants. 

However, if you wish to add them to your indoor garden collection, place them near a bright sunny window given that they do not expose to direct sunlight.

You should make sure that your beloved Haworthia cooperi plants get sunlight with the right intensity and with the right amounts as well. 

Unless it could create sunburns and discolorations in the plants. Apart from that, they could become etiolated and come up with shriveled leaves as well.

Many succulents tend to grow Haworthia cooperi due to their attractive colors as well as due to their unique foliage formation. 

For that , it is important that these plants get appropriate sunlight levels so that they can continue to grow in those vibrant colors that they are usually renowned for.

When it comes to outdoor gardening also, they would prefer to have medium sunlight which literally means they want full sunlight which is bright and indirect in the morning hours and partial sunlight during the afternoon hours. 

On the other hand, Haworthia cooperi could thrive well in sunrooms as well as in green houses as well. Again, avoid exposing them to direct sunlight though.

High light

Haworthia cooperi plants cannot withstand high light levels as it could be harmful for them. if you expose them to high lighting for prolonged periods  it will create sunburns in the plants.

In addition to that it could be harmful for the translucent windows they have on their leaves.  It could be so risky since that has a greater impact on the photosynthesis process of the Haworthia cooperi plants.

As such be mindful to not to leave them under the scorching sun as it could only bring harmful effects on your Haworthia cooperi plants.

Further if you have grown them in low lighting conditions for some time and bring them at once for high lighting conditions, it could make the plants traumatize as they cannot withstand drastic changes in the growing conditions. 

Ideally you need to slowly acclimate the plants for full sunlight outdoors. To do that, first you could expose them to full sunlight for a couple of hours and then gradually increase the exposure to full sunlight.

Haworthia cooperi plants can perform well if you grow them closer to artificial light.

Best is to go ahead with a mix of warm white and cool white bulbs when growing the Haworthia cooperi plants with artificial lights. 

That will provide the right level of color intensity and the right level of color balance as well. You could go ahead with T5 fluorescent lights as they would suit these plants the best. 

These lights will not make the plants soft and avoid stretching too. When growing these plants ensure that you are keeping a minimum temperature of 75-90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Is LED light good for Haworthia?

Haworthia can grow well with LED grow lights. They form the same wavelengths that your succulents require.

They do not produce excess heat levels, and anybody can afford them as well. Their durability is higher too. They can operate without any degradation of the light output.

Baby Haworthia cooperi plants would also require bright indirect sunlight for a few hours preferably in the morning hours.

Should I rotate my Haworthia?

You need to rotate your Haworthia plants so that you can make sure that the entire plant gets sunlight evenly.

Consider that if you are growing your Haworthia plants in the same spot for so long, then only one side of the plant will be able to gain sunlight.

So, to overcome this issue, best is to rotate the plant on a constant basis.
