Instead, they will drain the excess moisture away from the pot. If you do not grow them in a well-draining soil mix, you cannot reap the best results even if you water them properly.

Consider growing them in clay pots or in terracotta pots as they will be quite beneficial in providing optimal growing conditions for them.

Fertilizer and time of year

You may go ahead with a controlled release fertilizer to feed them during the start of their active growing season

if you are using a liquid solution, you can feed them with a 20-20-20 fertilizer which is quarterly diluted than the original strength.

When you feed the immature  Sempervivum ‘Cosmic Candy’ plants, you can use a fertilizer which has a lower percentage of Nitrogen.

Special Care tips

Succulents in general need only a minimum care from you and Sempervivum ‘Cosmic Candy’ plants are no different to them

You should make sure that you do not make any faults in watering them and expose them to sufficient sunlight levels. If you fulfill these requirements, they will thrive well.

How to propagate  Cosmic Candy succulents

Cosmic Candy succulents produce offsets or chicks which you can simply pull off from the mother rosette to propagate

Once you get the offsets you can simply place them in a well-draining soil mix and expose them to partial sunlight.

Next consider watering them until they establish matured roots and whenever you spot their soil is dry.

Once you water, make sure that the excess water is draining from the draining holes in the pot so that it will allow the soil to stay dry between the watering sessions and not in waterlogged conditions.

The best time to conduct the propagation would be either spring or summer. I do not recommend using the leaf cuttings to propagate the Cosmic Candy succulents.
